10 Today Street English 12 ways of welcoming somebody into your office or home

Imagine you are invited into a person´s house, what will they say to greet you ( saludarte). You will hear:

“What a lovely surprise to see you here!”  or  “ How nice of you to call in / by ( pasar por aqui) !”    or   “Come in, let me take your coat !”  or   “ Won´t you come in please ?”  or  “Take a seat and make yourself at home  (estas en tu casa).”  Or “So glad you could make it!”  ( me alegro de que hayas podido venir.                     Now, next, we need to offer a drink  so we could say  

“ Well, what can I get you?  (Puedo  ofrecerte  algo para beber).  Or  “What do you fancy ? (que te apetece ) or  What do you say to a cup of tea or better a glass of wine? ( que te parece un …) . Or something simple like  “How about a drink ?” or   “ Would you rather have ( would you prefer to have)  a can of beer?” Naturally you will not turn them down ( rechazar algo), will you ?
