David was
not very cheerful
(alegre) on Monday morning. He
had been delighted ( encantado) to see
his old friend Mark on Sunday, pleased (contento)
to hear all his news, and pleased (satisfecho) with the meal he had cooked. They
watched some sport on tv and were ecstatic (eurfórico ) when their hero won the tough game. They
were thrilled ( contentisimo ) with the
final result and he imagined how elated (alborozado,
eurfórico ) the players must feel with their trophy, they
would be on
cloud 9
or in seventh heaven for a few days
at least. Today
he was content ( se conformaba) to only do his 9 to 5 job.
