10 today expressions and idioms with All

At school, a long time ago, David showed interest in biology. He knew all along (right from the beginning) that  he would go to University  all being well ( if nothing impeded him) and that his parents and school teachers were all for  that ( entirely in favour of that ). The final exam day arrived and all of a sudden ( suddenly) he felt nervous. He needn’t  have felt so as he was good all round ( in all aspects).
The invigilator paced around the room, checking the tables and said “Start! “   Four hours later he felt all in ( really exhausted ). A friend raised a hand and enquired when they would know the results. All in good time (when a suitable or appropriate time arrives  , en su debido tiempo) , was the answer.  He walked out of the hall, down the corridor thinking school was all over ( finished for ever), no more classes. The strict routine continued for 3 days, that was the trademark of the school all over (exactly characteristic of it  or of somebody), nothing changed even at the end. He looked up at the church tower and thought “All in all” (in general)  it had been a good final year, no  looking back now. What would university be like, he wondered?
