10 Today !0 ways to describe WALKING

Instead of using the verb WALK  all the time, why not use more appropriate terms. Remember, to find out how to say them, the most important, go to this on-line speaking dictionary  and listen and practice, even record yourself on your mobile phone and then later listen and remind yourself.  http://www.dictionarist.com/tact

David was looking at a family album. The first photo showed his father pacing  up and down the hospital corridor  ( pasos regulares pero con ansiedad), waiting for the baby to “arrive” .  The following photo shows him crawling along  the floor (andar a gatos, arrarstrarse). Next, there he was,  9 months old and taking his first steps (pasos) and soon he was wandering  around the house ( deambular, vagar ) , sometimes  treading on toys ( pisar)  and sometimes falling over too!
He remembered his mother taking him to the park where they strolled around ( dar un paseo lento y sin prisas), watching the birds and other wildlife. In Regents Park you could even see the soldiers march up and down (implica paso regular). He turned over the pages in the album, and next he saw a photo of the family hiking across the Scottish mountains ( un largo paseo por el campo con el equipo apropiado) )  and a moment when they climbed the steps of castle, he slipped (resbalar) and had to limp (cojear) all the way home. What memories he thought!
